Hallo!
It has been raining…for a couple of days now. During the last days we have had several long time powercuts which is rather common here.
The principal/chiefinstructor of the VTC at Balastock farm is ill; TBC probably, so the situation there is a bit unclear for the moment. Other members of the staff still struggle though. Please pray for him and the VTC-project.
Earlier this day I was at a meeting arranged by the local “tax-office”.
I believed it to be a meeting where I was to be informed about new taxes and how to proceed, but it turned out to be a seminar on how to fill in the forms for all kinds of taxes. The teaching was simple; kindergarten- nursery level – so I felt a bit frustrated!Since people here are not used to form filling it is probably necessary…
The locals seem to think we ”muzungos” can not eat the same kind of food as the Africans. I still hope to taste food that have not been adjusted to be suitable to us, the muzungos.
It would be nice if you (Ami) could pack and send me the fermented Baltic herring from our refrigerator at home so that some of our employees could try it. Do you think it is possible? After all, the herring is a tinned/canned food.
Besides this the heat is back and the sun is shining.
Our Internet link is delayed and the last information says Thursday or Friday next week. So if you (Ami) have the energy you could take some useful information from this message and blog it. I hope the pictures I asked Jerry ask his wife to send to you have arrived. The links at the internet cafés are so slow – we had to wait for more than an hour to send five photos.
This Sunday I have been invited to speak in a charismatic church named ” Life Line Center” so please pray for me that I will do well. Give my regards to all and thank for greetings that have been done on the blog and in e-mails. It means a lot to know you think of me!Carolina and Daniel, I miss you all and hope to phone you this Sunday. /Robert

Hej!

/Robert
